Claude Code is Anthropic’s terminal coding agent and runs directly on TeamSocLo’s Claude package. The Claude Code extension for VS Code / JetBrains shares the CLI’s configuration.
Any package key works: a Claude key runs Claude models, a GPT key runs GPT models (the gateway translates protocols). The Base URL for Claude Code is https://gpt.teamsoclo.site without /v1, unlike OpenAI-compatible apps.
Claude Code is not required. The gateway converts protocols, so a Claude package key also works in Codex (--model claude-opus-5 at install, or edit model in config.toml), Cursor, Cline, Chatbox and any OpenAI‑compatible app: just the Base URL https://gpt.teamsoclo.site/v1, your key and a claude-... model name. Users pick whatever tool they like.
Prefer not to use a terminal? TeamSocLo Key Tool is an app for Windows and macOS: paste your key once to configure Claude Code, Codex and 20+ other tools.

One-command install

Replace sk-xxx with your Claude package key, paste into a terminal and press Enter. The script verifies the key, lists the Claude models it may call and lets you pick the main one (Enter = claude-opus-5), installs Claude Code and writes the configuration.
The script first asks for a language (1 = Vietnamese, 2 = English; skip with --lang en or --lang vi). Without --key it prompts for the key. To force the main model add --model claude-fable-5-1.
Source: claude.sh, claude.ps1. The script runs only on your machine and sends the key only to gpt.teamsoclo.site for verification.

What the script does

  1. Verifies the key with the gateway; a key with no Claude models stops here without touching your machine.
  2. Picks models: main claude-opus-5 (if your key has it), fast model for background tasks claude-haiku-4-5, otherwise the best available in order of preference.
  3. Requires Node.js 18+; installs or upgrades Claude Code with npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code.
  4. Backs up ~/.claude/settings.json as settings.json.bak.<timestamp>, then writes the env block pointing at the gateway. Everything else in the file (permissions, hooks…) is preserved.
Run it again any time to change keys.

After installing

1

Open a new terminal, go to your project, run claude

On first run Claude Code may ask how to sign in: choose the API key option (already configured), do not sign in with an Anthropic account.
2

Switch model in a session

Type /model and pick. Models in the package: claude-fable-5-1, claude-fable-5, claude-opus-5, claude-opus-5-5, claude-opus-4-8 / 4-7 / 4-6, claude-sonnet-5, claude-sonnet-4-6, claude-haiku-4-5. Stronger models burn credits faster, see Models and packages.

VS Code / JetBrains extension

Install the Claude Code extension and restart the editor; it reads the same ~/.claude/settings.json.

Manual configuration

~/.claude/settings.json (Windows: %USERPROFILE%\.claude\settings.json) needs this env block; keep any other entries you already have:
Or export the same variables in your shell. ANTHROPIC_SMALL_FAST_MODEL matters: Claude Code uses a small model for background tasks, and without it it calls a model name your package does not have.

With the Anthropic SDK

A Claude key also works through the OpenAI protocol (/v1/chat/completions, model claude-...) in Cursor, Cline and Chatbox, see cURL / Python.

Uninstall

To keep Claude Code but drop the gateway, delete the ANTHROPIC_* lines in settings.json, or copy settings.json.bak.<timestamp> back.

If it does not work

  • The key is from the Claude package (the check page lists claude-... models).
  • ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL has no trailing /v1.
  • You opened a new terminal after installing.
  • model not found for an unexpected model: set ANTHROPIC_SMALL_FAST_MODEL as above.
  • Otherwise see Troubleshooting.
