# Cline / Roo Code

> OpenAI Compatible provider for Cline and Roo Code

Cline and Roo Code are VS Code extensions configured the same way.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the extension settings">
    Click the gear icon at the top of the Cline (or Roo Code) chat panel.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose OpenAI Compatible and fill in">
    | Field | Value |
    | - | - |
    | **API Provider** | `OpenAI Compatible` |
    | **Base URL** | `https://gpt.teamsoclo.site/v1` |
    | **API Key** | `sk-xxx` |
    | **Model ID** | `gpt-5.6-sol` (Astra package: `gpt-astra`) |
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save and test">
    Click **Done** and send any message.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  Pick **OpenAI Compatible**, not **OpenAI**. With `OpenAI` the extension ignores your Base URL and calls OpenAI directly.
</Warning>

<Warning>
  **Model ID** is a free-text field with no dropdown. A typo fails immediately; copy from the [model table](/en/models).
</Warning>

<Tip>
  Cline attaches file contents on every turn. In large projects use `@file` for the exact files you need and click **New Task** when switching work; the longer the old task, the more each message costs.
</Tip>

## If it errors

* **404**: some Cline builds append `/v1`; try the Base URL as just `https://gpt.teamsoclo.site`.
* **Unsupported parameter**: clear or lower **Max Tokens** in Advanced Settings, turn off **Enable extended thinking** if present.
* **`No available channel for model`**: the model does not belong to your key's package, see [Models](/en/models).
