# Chatbox

> Chatbox web and desktop

Chatbox has a web version and installers for Windows / macOS / Linux; the setup is the same.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Settings">
    Click **Settings** in the bottom-left corner.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the provider and fill in">
    | Field | Value |
    | - | - |
    | **Model Provider** | `OpenAI API Compatible` |
    | **API Host** | `https://gpt.teamsoclo.site/v1` |
    | **API Key** | `sk-xxx` |
    | **Model** | `gpt-5.6-sol` (Astra package: `gpt-astra`) |
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save and chat">
    Click **Save**, open a new conversation and send a message.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  **API Host** must include `/v1`. Some Chatbox versions append `/v1` themselves: if chat returns 404, enter just `https://gpt.teamsoclo.site` to avoid `/v1/v1`.
</Warning>

<Warning>
  Choose **OpenAI API Compatible**, not **OpenAI** or **ChatGPT**. Those two do not let you edit the API Host.
</Warning>

<Tip>
  The Model field may be a dropdown with an **Add custom model** button. If your model is not listed, use that button and type the exact name.
</Tip>

## Saving tokens in Chatbox

Chatbox resends the whole conversation every turn. Click **New Chat** when you change topic instead of continuing a long thread. Settings also has **Max Message Count in Context**; around 10 is enough for most use.
