# TeamSocLo Key Tool

> An app for Windows and macOS: paste your key, click once, and Claude Code, Codex, Claude Desktop and 20+ tools are configured

A desktop app for people who would rather not use a terminal. Paste your key once; the app checks it and writes the config for each coding tool on your machine. Existing config files are always backed up first, and you can remove everything at any time.

  Windows `.exe` · macOS `.dmg` for Apple silicon and Intel · install notes

## Install the app

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="Windows">
    Download `TeamSocLoKeyTool-…-Windows.exe` and double-click it. Nothing else to install; everything is bundled.

    If Windows says **Windows protected your PC**, click **More info** → **Run anyway**. If the file is blocked after copying it from another PC: right-click → **Properties** → tick **Unblock** → **OK**.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="macOS">
    Apple silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4…) uses `macOS-AppleSilicon.dmg`; Intel Macs use `macOS-Intel.dmg`. Check under Apple menu → **About This Mac**.

    1. Open the `.dmg` and drag **TeamSocLo Key Tool** into **Applications**.
    2. On first launch macOS blocks it because it is not notarized: open **System Settings** → **Privacy & Security**, scroll down, click **Open Anyway** → **Open**.

    Or install with one Terminal command, which picks the right build and is not blocked:

    ```bash theme={null}
    curl -fsSL https://redeem.teamsoclo.site/install/keytool-mac.sh | bash
    ```
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

## Using the app

<Steps>
  <Step title="Paste your key, click Check">
    The app shows how many models the key can call, the quota left and the expiry date. Pick the **Main model**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure">
    Click **Configure all** to write the config for every tool installed on this machine. Or open a single tool to see what it currently uses, pick its own model (Claude Code also lets you pick Opus, Sonnet and Haiku), then click **Configure**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Reopen the tool">
    Open a new terminal, or fully quit and reopen VS Code / the app so it reads the new config.
  </Step>
</Steps>

In each tool's detail page, **Manual config** shows exactly what the app will write, ready to copy if you prefer to edit by hand.

## Supported tools

**Configured automatically:** Claude Code, Codex (CLI, VS Code, app), Claude Desktop, OpenCode, Cline, Kilo Code, Qwen Code, Factory Droid, Open Claw, Crush, Pi, Oh My Pi, Smelt, DeepSeek TUI, jcode, Grok Build, ForgeCode, CodeWhale, Hermes Agent.

**Guided, with Copy buttons** (configured in the tool's own settings): Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Roo Code, Continue.

<Tip>
  Any package key works in any tool: the gateway translates protocols, so a GPT key runs in Claude Code and a Claude key runs in Codex. Models follow your package, see [Models and packages](/en/models).
</Tip>

| | |
| - | - |
| **Connected** | The tool uses the TeamSocLo gateway |
| **Other** | The tool points to another gateway or account. Open it to check before overwriting |
| **Not configured** | Installed but not configured |
| **Not installed** | Not found on this machine. You can still configure it; Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cline and Qwen Code can be installed with the npm button (needs Node.js 18+) |
| **Guide** | Configured in the tool's own UI; the app gives you the Base URL, key and model to copy |

## Claude Desktop

After configuring, fully quit Claude Desktop and reopen it: it switches to gateway mode and no longer needs an Anthropic login. On Windows, Cowork needs the new Claude Desktop installer; if you see *Reinstall the desktop app to access Cowork*, download it again from [claude.ai/download](https://claude.ai/download) and reinstall.

## Remove or change the key

**Change key**: paste the new key, click **Check**, then **Configure** again.

**Remove**: open the tool in the app and click **Remove config**. Only the TeamSocLo part is removed, the previous model is restored when there was one, and a `….bak.<timestamp>` copy is always kept next to the original.
